New Server

Alright. Our webhost, PowWeb, just moved us to a new server. Some of the things on the site got kind of messed up in the process. I’m going to get them fixed as soon as I can, but the site will be running on the default Wordpress skin for a little while till I can devote some time to it. Hopefully I’ll be able to get to it sooner than later. ' class='wp-smiley' />

Classes are starting to pick up, and I’m also beginning to look for jobs. If anyone knows of any Computer Science job openings, send me an email! ' class='wp-smiley' />

Engagement Pictures (New York)

Well, after nearly a month I am finally getting around to putting the engagement pictures up on the website. ' class='wp-smiley' /> We are really excited to be engaged! We are planning the wedding to be either June 1st or 8th–depending on the venue. We are going to have it in New Jersey, on/near the beach. It should be an amazing time. Back in Texas

So we got back to Texas last night at 8. I think we made pretty good time. Joseph, Abby, Bryan, and I went out for a walk soon after we got back. Logan needed the exercise and so did we after sitting in the car all day. We are going to visit Bryan’s parents today and then probably go out to dinner with Joseph and Abby to celebrate. The day after Bryan and I got engaged my mom and dad took us to Atlantic City. We had dinner at Carmines and got to have a little fun before we left. Sadly, the vacation is over and it is back to work for both Bryan and I.

Engaged

So… 5 minutes after that last post, I asked Kate to marry me. We were at the foot of the glass staircase in the 5th Ave. Apple store. I kneeled and gave her the ring. People clapped and one elderly couple came up and said “Now Steve Jobs will have to pay for your wedding!” ' class='wp-smiley' /> It was great. There are no words to express how happy I am to be engaged to the most wonderful girl on earth. As a crazy New Yorker guy yelled out as we were walking the streets, “that lady is beautiful… yep- she should be in Hollywood!”

So I have been in NJ a little under a week. Like five minutes after I got here Aly called and we hung out the next day (ie the 4th). My family and I went to a fourth of July bbq as well. I went to Bay Village with Brit and Mary to pick up a super cute dress for Brit’s 21st (next saturday). We are going to the Tropicana in AC. Last night Ryland came over and we hung out in the backyard for a while. We got some ice cream and then started a fire in the pit in the backyard. It was a good time. I also got a job at the Long Beach Township Beach Patrol. I am helping out with their yearbook. It is decent work with decent pay. Tonight we are going to Stockton to play some volleyball. Then I hope to hang out with Aly and catch up some more. Bryan is flying in on Wed! I am very excited about that, taking the day off work and everything.That is it for now. hopefully when Bryan gets here I can put some pictures of us all up!

I just got back last night from 5 days in Winter Park, Colorado. The family reunion went well and it was great to see everyone on my dad’s side. I pwn in foosball, btw. While the cabin had a big screen tv, dish network, and a great foosball table– there was no internet to be had. So, while I was internet-less, I fooled around in iMovie HD on my 12″ powerbook and made a quick video. Check it out. (Quicktime video)
